About the Raleigh Market
The Raleigh-Durham-Cary Triangle market is a key research and high-tech hub of the Southeastern United States, and features the world-famous Research Triangle Park, a 7,000 acre development, home to more than 170 companies and employing over 39,000 workers. Encompassing more than 80 million square feet of office, R&D, and industrial space, the Triangle market outperformed national metrics over the past several years because of the strong education, government, technology and biotechnology, and health-care sectors that undergird the market’s foundation and are the main economic drivers for the United States. Known for having one of the most well-educated workforces in the nation with nearly 50% of adults over 25 holding a bachelor’s degree or higher, the local economy benefits substantially – and is named for – the educational powerhouses of Duke University, the University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill, and North Carolina State University. Counting the smaller universities and colleges in the area as well, there are more than 183,000 students in the region.

With many local industries flourishing as a function of research-intensive public/private partnerships with Research Triangle Park and local universities, the Triangle metropolitan area boasts the lowest unemployment rate in the state and generated more than a third of the state’s net jobs in 2012. Recent corporate expansions in the Triangle market include high-caliber national and international firms such as Red Hat, Citrix, Bandwidth.com, BASF, and LexisNexis.

Accordingly, the Triangle continues to be well-ranked in national measures of population and economic growth, lifestyle, and business costs:

  • #1 Best Quality of Life (Raleigh, NC), Business Facilities Magazine, July/August 2012
  • #2 Best Place for Business and Careers (Raleigh, NC) ;Forbes.com, June 2012
  • #2 Best City for Small Business (Raleigh, NC), Portfolio.com/bizjournals, April 2012
  • #2 Fastest Growing City (Raleigh, NC), Business Facilities Magazine, July/August 2012

Habitat  for Humanity
Service Day 2013

For the 8th consecutive year, Cassidy Turley employees have rolled up their sleeves and grabbed a tool belt to assist with a local Habitat for Humanity effort here in the Triangle.  For this year's assignment, our team prepped a new home for insulation and installed exterior siding.
