Cassidy Turley Race for Hope 5K Run/Walk

The 14th Annual Cassidy Turley Race for Hope 5K Run/Walk was held on Sunday, May 1, 2011 at Freedom Plaza in Washington, DC. The Race raised a record-setting $2.5 million to benefit National Brain Tumor Society (NBTS) and Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure (ABC2).  More than 12,000 runners, walkers, survivors and volunteers participated in the event, which is the country's largest fund raiser for the brain tumor community.  Founded in 1997 by local volunteers, the Race’s goal is to fund innovative brain tumor research and support for families already affected by this devastating disease.  Visit www.curebraintumors.org for more information.
