Columbus

Formerly Colliers Turley Martin Tucker, Cassidy Turley is one of the fastest growing commercial real estate firms in Central Ohio.

Welcome to Columbus

Located within a ten hour drive to 50% of the US population and home to state, county and federal government operations, Columbus’ diverse population base provides strength and stability to the local economy. The city is also home to 26 institutions for higher learning, including The Ohio State University, making it a hotbed for research and technology. In 2008, Forbes rated Columbus Number One among the Top 10 Up-and-Coming Tech Cities.

Central Ohio also hosts 14 Fortune 1000 headquarters, including leaders in insurance, healthcare, manufacturing and retail goods. Familiar names include Nationwide Insurance, Cardinal Health, Limited Brands, American Electric Power, Worthington Industries and Scotts Miracle Grow. The presence of these major corporations and a favorable business climate (Marketwatch.com ranked Columbus as the Seventh Best City for Business) has helped make Columbus the second fastest growing metropolitan area in the Midwest.

The region’s real estate market contains over 274 million square feet of office and industrial space. For the last year, Columbus commercial real estate has mirrored the national real estate trend of rising vacancy and slower than usual leasing velocity. Despite the downward movement, however, we expect the real estate outlook to improve as the country’s economy moves towards better times during 2010.
